The Premier League game between Watford and Chelsea at Vicarage Road, has been suspended temporarily.
This is due to a medical emergency in the stands involving a fan.
Chelsea’s medical staff ran across the field to attend to the victim, who is believed to have suffered a heart attack.
The players were then ordered to leave the field and returned to the dressing room to keep warm while medics administered CPR to the fan.
Watford’s official Twitter account wrote: “There is a break in play due to a medical emergency in the crowd. Both teams have left the field.”

Whyte has long been the WBC’s No 1 ranked contender but was officially named as the mandatory challenger to Fury’s belt after ‘The Gypsy King’ beat Wilder for the second time.
Nigeria vs Ghana: Christian Chukwu tells NFF best coach for Super Eagles job
Former Nigerian defender, Christian Chukwu says Augustine Eguavoen is the best-suited coach to take charge of the Super Eagles.
Chukwu called on the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to keep Eguavoen in the position ahead of the Super Eagles World Cup qualifying playoffs.
Chukwu, who is a former national team captain told NAN that Eguavoen has instilled team spirit and discipline in the Super Eagles.
“Eguavoen did great in the competition. He is still outstanding among other African coaches in the ongoing competition.
“Eguavoen has already started working with the Eagles and understands the players to a certain extent and bringing in another coach now will destabilise the team.
“The new coach will come with his own ideas, which could take the players time to understand.”
The Super Eagles crashed out of the Africa Cup of Nations to Tunisia on Sunday, ending their fine run in the tournament.
Next up for Nigeria is the World Cup qualifying playoff clash against the Black Stars of Ghana
AFCON 2021: Jay Jay Okocha blames two Super Eagles players for Nigeria’s elimination
Former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, has blamed two players for the elimination of Nigeria from the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, in Cameroon by Tunisia.
Okocha said Super Eagles goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye and right-back, Ola Aina, should be held responsible for Tunisia’s match-winning goal against Augustine Eguavoen’s men.
Recall that Tunisia had last Sunday sent the Super Eagles packing from the AFCON in the Round of 16, thanks to Youssef Msakni’s second-half goal.
But Okocha believes Okoye should have saved Msakni’s long-range shot, while Aina would have fouled the Tunisia player before he took the shot.
“You expect when things go the wrong way that the goalkeeper might save the day but I thought he went a bit early to his right side and then it was difficult for him to adjust and make that save,” Okocha told SuperSport.
“It was a well taken shot there by the Tunisian and luckily for them that decided the game.”
On Aina, Okocha added: “You buy a foul, do something, stop the momentum of the game and let your players recover, but he made it easier for them.”
